Last port stop: Half Moon Cay, Bahamas
This island was actually owned by the cruise line, with imported white and sparkly sand. Amazing. First we thought the torrential rain that poured for the first hour or so would ruin our last day, but TTL it all cleared up, and we had a fantastic time. They served a delicious BBQ on the island, but I swear the staff was drunk out of their minds! I also went snorkeling for the first time in my life, which was interesting. And the delightful boys decided to bury me in the sand and make me into a very large male, which wasn’t uber cool, though tolerated. 😛
Back on the boat, our last dinner on board the Maasdam was sweet, but quiet, well, for the most part. The overly cheery cruise director, Savannah, had her heyday today with loudspeaker announcements about every 15 minutes during the meal. She is probably the only part of this cruise that I won’t miss! Ha ha…
Our last night up in the Crow’s Nest involved very little dancing – at least on my part – but a whole lot of witnessing! Actually, it’s been refreshing to have so many ops to witness on the ship, especially since everyone’s on vacation, which makes for relaxed and receptive sheep. TYJ.
