What we all looked like while ringing in the New Year 2012…

Ste. Agathe-Des-Monts Winter Vacation

We were lucky enough this year to get a vacation! Yay! :)

We had booked some cabins in advance  – for a more affordable price, of course - along with 15 or so of our best buddies. Our beautiful destination was a tiny nook hidden away up in the mountains of Ste. Agathe - a little north of Montreal in Quebec.

It took about 6 hours to race there from Toronto, but it didn’t seem that long at all, what with anticipation egging us onwards! Dear Jono had to do all the driving for our vehicle. What a trooper. I held the phone, juggling the multiple roles of map guide, super-texter, and DJ all at once. Gabi and Lizzi cuddled in the back seat, while Julianne coughed and sneezed away…poor thing.

We spent the next 4 days half-submerged in hot tubs and whirpools in more than sub-zero temperatures, watching French television, skiing and snowboarding down dangerous and questionable slopes, soaking up the steamy saunas, cooking in homestyle log cabins, and just being simply happy as baby larks. Heh…

Be jealous. :P

Bollywood Fire!

I’ve recently joined a Bollywood dance troupe called “Oriental Fire”. It’s been new and exciting, not to mention part of an excellent scheme to get me in shape!

We have our first show coming up this Friday, February 11th, 8:30pm, at the Karma Nirvana Restaurant in Fourways. We will be performing all the hot Bollywood hits! Looking forward to seeing you there!

Self-Discovery Mastery Seminars

I have been privileged to attend Life Coaching seminars here in Pretoria, taught by Francois Janse van Rensburg, a certified Life Coach and Master Coach Trainer from Let’s Live! Life Coaching.

Although there are many things he teaches that I already know to be true, the majority are eye-opening and mind-bending. I have received many learnings! :)

A few surprisingly relevant learnings were:

  • Who I actually am
  • What really makes me happy
  • What I value most in my life
  • What my dreams are
  • How my mind works
  • What my core focus filters are
  • Why I am addicted to certain things
  • That I can change what I don’t like about myself
  • Just how much I influence others

We all received our own inch-thick wooden board at the start of both of the seminars. We were told to write down our dreams on one side of the board, and on the other side, write the obstacles that keep us from fulfilling those dreams. At the end of each seminar, we were told to break through those obstacles to get to our dreams, by breaking the board! And, though of course I didn’t think I could, I did it! My dreams actually feel within reach!

I certainly recommend this seminar  training for anyone who is planning to succeed in life – the easier, smarter way!

Here are some photos from the seminars:

Life-Changing Seminars!

I’m very excited to be a part of a new team that is planning, teaching, and hosting life-changing seminars here in South Africa! The team is a joint effort between two Life Coach companies: Let’s Live (www.letslivecoaching.com) and Focus on Action (website in the works!)

For us, Life Coaching is the art of seeing each individual in the light of their original authentic design. You too can assist people and help them to discover their true potential that lies within themselves. You too can introduce them to the reality of a sustained, intimate and fulfilled life.

Further your Mission by empowering and enhancing the world!

So, that’s what I’ve been doing! :)

Boat Party!

George Michael May invited us to an awesome boat party for his birthday! God bless him. :) I wasn’t sure what to expect, so I was pleasantly surprised! There was a good amount of BBQing, dancing and karaoke going on, as well as just good ol’ conversation. And it was so nice to see everyone as well!

Happy Birthday Georgie! Best wishes for your new year! ;)

Shaken, Not Stirred

This is old, but the pics are too splendid to pass over. You may have seen them already on FB, and if so, get a second peek! :)

For Cecy’s birthday, we all took on the form of the men and women of James Bond 007′s world, be it villain or heroine! – But, mostly just a lot of very sophisticated suits and leggy gowns.

Jono and I got Cecy some pretty pink heels, which she must have loved, as she wore them the rest of the night! -And I must point out that they did look fabulous on her. What exquisite taste I have! Heh heh… :P

Good fun, not gonna lie!

Proudly Canadian

It’s been a long time…

Well, the truth is I’ve been having a hard time getting online as of late, and an even harder time staying calm and happy in spite of chasing my nerves around the block and back. None of that will make much sense to you, I know, since I haven’t yet explained my extended absence from home. But I will. I will.
For now, however, I will help you to relive – IMHO – the most exciting Winter Olympic season ever!

Here are some photos from the epic Team Canada hockey gold medal game. Even though we had a temporary non-fatal heart stroke in the last 24 seconds (resulting in the snowball pummeling of sweet American Kevin!), thank God that He had His righteous way in the end! Amen?

You’ll notice how quickly Kev became weepy as he hung his head in shame… Awww…Just how proud are you to be a Canadian?

All you can eat!

A whole bunch of us went out for our customary all-you-can-eat sushi Sunday. Ahhh… taste-bud Utopia! :D
